If you love Amaretto then you will love this delicacy as it is drenched in the smooth taste of this favorite liquor. While baking I realized that we were out of Rum and tried Amaretto instead…the rest is history.

Banana/Walnut Pound Cake
Take a ripe banana, smash it, swirl it in the mix. Add walnuts for company and the two become inseparable. This classic was passed down from my grandma to my mom. Grandma’s tip: she always placed a sliced apple in the cake platter to keep her cakes fresh. No worries, however, they will stay fresh for 5-7 days without the apple!! Sorry Grandma.

Coconut Pound Cake
I took fresh coconut and kept grating until I had a mound of white flakey mass reminding me of the mountains at a recent ski trip. Coconut is added to the batter as well to create a mouth-watering concoction.

Lemon Pound Cake
All time favorite!! Take fresh lemon, grate it, squeeze it(make sure you get every drop) and swirl the glaze atop the fresh lemon flavored cake. I started out with a thick icing but had more fun just pouring a thinner glaze and allowing it to land in all the nooks and crannies. Each cake has its own unique look!
