How can I contact The Last Crumb?
Our business hours are Mon-Fri 9 AM-5 PM EST (note: East Coast & Daylight Savings Time.) You can call us at 301-641-7496 during our business hours. You are welcome to email The Last Crumb;ordercake@thelastcrumbofcake.com or place an order using our order form online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Can I pay with a credit card?
Yes! We accept Visa, or MasterCard and checks. If you fill out the order form online we will call you (using the phone number on the form) to get a credit card over the phone. Once payment is confirmed we will ship or deliver your cake gift or party cakes.
Will you send me a receipt?
We will be happy to provide you a receipt for your order if you provide an email address on the order form. If you place your order by phone, please ask for a receipt and we will email a copy of your invoice/receipt to you.
Can I include my own message on the gift card?
We urge you to include a message. Your message should be included in the comments area of the order form and we will handwrite your message on the gift card. You will be asked for this information during the ordering process. Please limit your message to 200 characters or less.
Do you deliver?
Yes, we offer hand delivery in Montgomery County, MD, Northern Virginia and Washington, DC area. We Hand deliver and ship our cakes. Our cupcakes are hand delivered only; charge is $20.00. Overnight delivery is $30.00.
Local Deliveries: Montgomery, Howard, Prince Georgre’s Counties $20
All other deliveries: Owings Mills, MD (Baltimore County), Northern VA & around the US (48 states) $25
For most orders same day delivery is available if order is placed by 9 AM EST. We can deliver next day to most locations within the Montgomery County, Maryland, Northern Virginia or Washington, DC.
When will my order be shipped?
In general, orders received by 9 AM EST Mon-Thurs will be shipped that day. Orders received after 9 AM EST, on Fridays, weekends and holidays will be shipped the following business day.
Can I send a gift to patient in a hospital?
We can hand deliver to several hospitals in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. We would prefer to send your gift to a residential address if at all possible. If you must have a gift shipped to a hospital, please be certain that the recipient will still be a patient at the hospital for several days past the time of your order. You must include the hospital’s name, street address, phone number and patient’s room number.
What else do I need to know ?
Orders will be charged 6% Maryland sales tax.
What is the shelf life of your cakes?
Our cakes have up to a two-month frozen shelf life if you ordered one of our unfrosted cakes. Allow approximately 3 hours for the cake to thaw. Keep cakes at room temperature and are best if enjoyed within 3-4 days after receipt. Please do not refrigerate. You can keep in plastic wrap/aluminum foil or store in an air tight covered cake platter container.
How much notice do you need during peak holiday seasons?
Most orders will be completed in 48 hours or less. During the busy holiday seasons, shipping/delivery windows become more critical as the holiday approaches. The various shipping companies have cut-off dates for guaranteed delivery by the holiday. Please call if you have any questions regarding your holiday order.
